As a country with a tropical climate, skin disease is still one of the most common health problems in Indonesia. Several types of skin diseases often become complaints from people in Indonesia.   • Panu

  • Tinea versicolor or known as tinea versicolor or pityriasis versicolor, is a fungal infection that is characterized by the appearance of patches colored lighter or darker than the original color of the skin. Tinea versicolor can occur when the fungus Malassezia, which is one type of fungus that normally is found on the surface of the skin, develops excess. The development of this fungus can be caused by hot or humid weather, excessive sweating, oily skin conditions, hormonal changes, or a weak immune system.
  • Scabies

  • Scabies or scabies is a contagious skin disease. This skin disease can occur when small mites bite, and enter the outer layer of the skin, causing itching and rashes. If the area of ​​the skin that has a rash feels unusually itchy, small red bumps appear, and there are blisters on the area, then you could be affected by scurvy. To treat scurvy, your doctor may give an ointment or cream that can kill the mites that cause scabies. Generally applied to the entire surface of the body's skin to avoid moving mites to other body parts.
  • Kadas or ringworm

  • Ringworm is a skin disease caused by fungus and can occur in various areas of the body, from the feet, arms, to nails. Symptoms of ringworm are the appearance of a reddish rash that is circular, like a ring with an irregular outline. This rash can cause itching. In severe ringworm infections, ringworm rashes can widen, blister and form pus sores. Direct contact with people with ringworm can cause you to contract ringworm. In addition, other factors such as damp environment, excessive sweating, the use of clothes that are too tight, a weak immune system, and sharing towels or clothing with other people can also trigger contracting ringworm.
  • Leprosy or leprosy

  • Indonesia has become one of the countries with leprosy. Leprosy attacks the skin, respiratory tract, peripheral nervous system and eyes. The disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium leprae has the main symptoms in the form of pale sores, or bumps on the skin that do not go away for several weeks to several months. Symptoms in leprosy sufferers do not appear quickly. At least it takes 3-5 years, it can even reach 20 years, from the time the infection occurs until the appearance of symptoms.
